Left Behind.
Left Behind is a short I filmed for my final year at the University of Warwick with the London Film School.
After spending years watching those closest to me struggle with the relationships with their siblings after their mother became ill, I became interested in how emotions such as loss and regret could be explored through film. This short film is purposefully slow and uncomfortable, much like the feeling of loss and regret.
Left Behind was planned, written, directed and edited by Emma Hurley.
scoff.
scoff are a London based food company that offer a tasty new way of finding and creating recipes on a budget! AND then putting all the needed ingredients in your chosen stores basket for you! I have worked with scoff on numerous projects, filming tons of recipe videos and a bunch of videos for marketing purposes. These videos are just a sample, for more tasty vids click ‘More scoff’.
Warwickshire Open Studios.
Local ceramicist and plant extraordinaire Lin Hutton asked me to film and edit a short trailer for her Warwickshire Open Studios event. With the purpose being to show off her work, as well as her personality. Lin and her art friends loved what I created for her (it’s made a few people cry with laughter) and I hope you enjoy it too!
US AMONG THE STONES.
After building a solid relationship with director Dictynna Hood from the London Film School, I was asked to film and put together a highlights video of the launch party of her second ever feature film - US AMONG THE STONES. An incredible film about family relations and death, I wonder why we got on so well!
Birthday parties.
After filming weddings for a little over a year, a mum reached out to me and asked me to film her little girls birthday and make a highlight film of her special day! Ever since then I have filmed quite a few birthday bashes!
Inspire Medics.
I joined the Inspire Medics team as their videographer and editor not long after graduating. Over my time with them I produced over 1000 videos for their online course materials, website and social media. The video here was the most common layout - talking to camera with a green screen, graphics and text.
